“The Mammoth Hunt” is a story about a film reel that for many years has been thought to be lost. On the reel, under conspiracy conditions, an abolished anti-Soviet theatre performance had been documented nearly 50 years ago – a play that served as a cross-section of the period revealing the universal subjects of courage, conformation, loyalty and betrayal.

Twice a year, hunters earn a chance to go to Kodiak Island in Alaska to hunt a Kodiak bear. The series follows the different hunters throughout their hunts.

Inspired by a true crime that gripped a whole nation for more than a decade. In the spring of 1999, the body of a 16-year-old girl was found on the outskirts of a small village in The Netherlands, next to an asylum seekers' center. ‘The Hunt’ depicts how the long and frustrating search for the perpetrator confronted the inhabitants and asylum seekers of this little Dutch town with xenophobia, racism, and bizarre and persistent conspiracy theories, fueled by social media. The crime remained unsolved for more than 12 years, until an unprecedented use of a large-scale DNA investigation finally solved the case.

In the forest are found the bodies of young women. The case is assigned to the young, diligent and thorough detective Lea Smith and it is asked help to Thomas Wolf, a forensic psychologist.

After a murder is committed in self-defense, three sexually trafficked women are hunted down across a remote and unforgiving swath of desert along the American/Mexican border. Only by banding together can the unlikely trio survive.
